BEHIND HYËNA

KMFDM's HYËNA was created for the Charlotte stop on their 2022 tour. On October 19, 2022, the industrial band KMFDM played at The Neighborhood Theater to promote the release of their 21st studio album HYËNA.

HYËNA would mark the first time creating a piece not intended for a gallery setting and instead emphasizing the performance aspect of it. The method through which HYËNA was carried is meant to resemble how you would carry the bull sculptures in a Mexican calenda.

The sculpture was created to celebrate the album and it was paraded throughout the venue and into the pit. It would get the band's attention and eventually received the signatures from all of the band members. Fans would later take photos with HYËNA outside the venue.

HYËNA would later be displayed at Petra's Art Lounge for the Pimp My World show on March 2023.
